Fishing over the weekend was a little bit slower than anticipated. I think that is partially due to the warm up and massive crowds seen on the lake. Talking with folks on the lake it seems most were able to catch some fish, not in huge numbers but the fishing was slow and steady.

Good numbers of walleyes were being caught in 8-10 feet of water, as well as some closer to the main channel. Lots of people were using tip ups with a minnow on Saturday and seemed to be doing well. White bass were also keeping people busy.

Perch numbers were low with a few people catching them here and there.

Access has improved on the lake with the recent weather and getting around without tracks is a lot more feasible. The crossing also has a plowed road allowing some access for people wanting to get ice castles on the lake farther north.
